Ethical Code of QUALITY CORN GROUP

This Ethical Code serves as the framework for all activities and labor relations of QUALITY CORN GROUP, applying to both its employees and external collaborators. It reflects our core principles of integrity, respect, responsibility, and commitment to human and labor rights, fostering a safe, fair, and inclusive work environment.

  1. Freedom of Employment
Employment will be freely chosen, with no forced or compulsory labor. Employees will not be required to hand over identity documents or ‘deposits’ to the employer and may leave their position with reasonable notice.

  2. Right to Association and Collective Bargaining
Employees have the right to join unions of their choice and engage in collective bargaining. Union representatives will not face discrimination or penalties for performing their duties. Where laws restrict freedom of association, alternative means will be provided to guarantee this right.

  3. Safe and Hygienic Working Conditions
We provide a safe and hygienic working environment, minimizing risks and training our employees in these areas. We ensure access to clean facilities, potable water, and, where applicable, secure accommodation areas.

  4. Prohibition of Child Labor
We do not employ child labor. We support the education and development of minors accidentally involved in labor activities, ensuring their transition to formal education. Minors under 18 will not be assigned hazardous tasks or night shifts.

  5. Fair Wages
We guarantee wages that meet or exceed legal standards and cover the basic needs of employees. We provide clear and detailed information on salary conditions and applicable legal deductions.

  6. Reasonable Working Hours
We comply with labor laws regarding working hours and rest periods. Overtime will be voluntary, compensated with a premium, and will not exceed the limits established by law.

  7. Equality and Non-Discrimination
We promote equal opportunities and prohibit any discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other factors.

  8. Regular Employment
We ensure stable and legally recognized labor relations, avoiding practices that undermine workers’ rights.

  9. Dignity and Respect
We do not tolerate physical or verbal abuse, threats, harassment, or any form of intimidation towards employees.

  10. Commitment to Continuous Improvement
We foster a culture of continuous improvement, ethics, and compliance with applicable legislation in all countries where we operate.
