We are pleased to recall that this April, at the Center for Agro-Food Research and Technology (CITA), a new campaign of tests begins with the aim of studying and controlling the expansion of Amaranthus palmeri, a weed that has spread rapidly in the corn fields. A project possible thanks to the collaboration between various entities of the agri-food sector in Aragon, among which we are.
Over the next three years (2021-2024), we will carry out continuous trials to find solutions to this problematic expansion. We are committed to finding effective solutions to reduce the presence of this weed, which negatively affects crop production and quality.

On the occasion of the supplement dedicated to Maize that el Periódico de Aragón publishes every year, last Friday we appeared again through a report that focuses on Artificial Intelligence and the collaboration we carry out with Telespazio to combat the presence of datura.

We close the month of February with a new participation of our agronomic manager Elena Oyaga in the Lonja Agropecuaria de Binéfar.
One more year, he attended the Conference on Agriculture and Future Alternatives where, together with three other colleagues from the sector, they discussed the future of agriculture in the current framework. Organized by the Aragón Human Consumption and Alfalfa Seed Association, this conference was attended by important companies such as Amaetón, Pioneer and Lonja de Binéfar.
Elena not only represented our company but, as always, her participation was essential in exchanging ideas and exploring alternatives for the future of agriculture. Thank you Ellen!
We keep moving forward!

This month we have also appeared in Diario del Alto Aragón in which, thanks to the explanations of our technical engineer Elena Oyaga, our current harvest is contextualized within the framework of the socioeconomic and climatological conditions that we have experienced.

We have concluded the trials for this year (we will continue in 2023!) for the investigation of one of the invasive species that causes the greatest losses in maize: amaranthus palmeri. A cooperation project that we started together with CITA (Aragon Agrifood Research and Technology Center), the University of Zaragoza and other entities in the area's agrifood sector.
And it is that we are getting closer to the results and, therefore, to addressing this problem with much greater knowledge and, consequently, greater control. Thank you very much to the rest of the participants who, like us, are committed to pooling their experiences and resources with the aim of taking knowledge one step further.

This Saturday we appeared again on the Tempero Aragón TV program. In it, Elena Oyaga -our agronomic manager- analyzed how our current harvest has gone by and the context in which we have been facing the challenges and conditions that today has marked us.
As always, a pleasure!
